It’s Sunday and I’m checking my bird table to see how food to put out for our feathered friends. . You ever thought how different the natural world would be without birds. I shudder to even think about it. Never mind about the visual aspect of them , what about the beautiful song that caresses our souls.
✨I have a Beautiful recording of a wren singing it’s heart out last summer in my back garden. It’s ultra beautiful. I’ll see if I can place it within these pages sometime 💚✨
Dear me , this takes me to people who can’t see or hear these fluffy flying creatures. I’m forever grateful for my health , although I’ve a dreadful head cold at the moment.
I don’t think I’ve ever come across a blind person in my world, but deaf I have. George was the last fellow ,older than me but ever such a nice guy. I had time for him . He was a good person, brilliant hard worker and gardener 🌟😄. It’s been a few years since I’ve spoken to him . Wherever he is , I wish him a glorious time.
This brings me back to the birds in my garden. This morning I thought I’d just see what birds came to the bird table.
Their main diet , well only food I give them is sunflower hearts.
Generally I only have visiting are sparrows, sparrows and more sparrows with the odd on few Goldfinches that fly in.😄
So it became my Sunday morning bird count . In the space of two hours I’ve had ;
7 Goldfinches at one time, a glorious feast to watch of fluttering fancies, with splashes of gold and Red.
Yes a few Sparrows
a great tit
a blue tit
A black bird
a robin
a tree sparrow
a female chaffinch
a magpie , one of my favourites
a greenfinch, which seem to be scarce in my garden
a blue tit
and collared neck doves, which I find quite tame. 😄
So I think I might have to introduce some different foods to try encourage other birds.
I love the fact I have goldfinches coming but they wouldn’t without sunflower hearts, that’s a certainty.
And certainly in the spring and summer we have hedgehogs feeding off the bits on the ground, so nothing goes to waste.
You maybe aware of the big garden bird watch on 25th / 27th JANUARY. I’ve done my test run 😂.
Are you taking part in the national garden bird count??? 😜🌟
Yesterday , Nathan and I went on one our little excursions down Plox Brow . We went to the canal and took a walk along the river that runs along side and fed the ducks and geese on the canal.
I’m currently sat on my couch with my wife’s furry blanket around me ,mmm it’s cosy.
The pages from Fearne’s book are waiting for me , I read a few pages last night in the wee small hours of not being able to sleep because of this dam cold.
I’m Looking forward to receiving her inspirational words and stories and short interviews of her most inspirational experiences with people that have touched her ❤️🌟.
Gee whiz our WiFi in the house is off again.
It seems to be a daily occurrence.
Our provider needs a rocket up their @rse .
There should be no excuse’s with the new internet cables Open Reach have installed all around these parts before Christmas.
We have little Alfie staying over tonight but I fear I’ll be sleeping down stairs as not to give him my cold . That’s a crying shame coz those moments of closeness are pure magic.
Anyway my friends, enjoy your travels , your sitting, your working , your whatever it that makes you smile 😁🌟.
love ya
Adrian 💫
