Hiya!
This evening as I drove home from my second gym session in a new program of getting fitter a safe way.
I missed a Golden opportunity of an excellent photograph. I’m completely gutted I miss a moon photograph . Oh blimey, what a setting. So there I was driving down Lord Street, a beautifully lit Lord Street May I say! .
The street looks superb of an evening with all the tiny warm white lights gracing the trees along the road side.
So let’s try and picture this it’s about 6:45 pm , the sky is 🌌 dark, the lights on the trees are warming your eyes with the sparkles.
Then , what did I see the awesome moon 🌝. Not a full one , more like the last quarter , waning moon. It was amazing, just hanging there in the sky , huge and dead centre of the of the road. I was so in awe, in a frenzy too, I wanted to pull over but there wasn’t anywhere to stop and take a photo. What a photo that would have been.! . I drove back around a few blocks in order to get back onto the street but by then the moon was hidden behind the clouds 😢🤣.
There was another missed opportunity in the natural world of the Marshlands of Southport last year. That was awesome too. The late evening sun shining on the wetlands as I drove down the Coastal Road, again nowhere to park or pull up. The reflectiveness of the sun on waters and the geese and ducks fluttering by. Yep I can surely miss them 😂😂😂.
The latest news of the Photographic front for me is , I’ve taken up a new course for the use of my DSLR camera, Well how to use one that is. I thought it was time I did something about it, especially having had a camera for a few years now and I love catching the moment in nature. 💚.
Just have to pop this message in about a friends who bought me one the best presents from my last birthday, that’s two books. Absolutely beautiful books , “2023 guide to the night sky “ and The Royal Observatory Greenwich ~ “ Astronomy Photographer of the year”. Lovely, lovely. 💚🌖🌝🥰🌟🌌.
Anyway guys , what missed opportunities have you missed lately and what have to done to improve on the situation. Anything or nothing? .
